Assistant Management Accountant

We’re delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established and growing business in Thetford, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented finance professional looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations and assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily banking and reconciliations

Process customer sales invoices and maintain accurate ledgers

Oversee the invoice discounting process and customer receipts

Support the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments

Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis

Support payroll and pension submissions

Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process

Contribute to the implementation of new financial systems and process improvements
About You
-
AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA (or equivalent)

Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

Proficient in Excel and accounting software

Excellent communication skills and a confident team player

Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
