Assistant Management Accountant
Key tasks
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Calculate and post monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ledger accounts.
- Reconcile balances with the invoice and stock funding provider.
- Prepare submissions of daily sales invoicing required by the invoice funding provider.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with bookkeeping for international subsidiary companies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports by product type and sales person to inform management decisions.
- Calculate commissions due to the sales team monthly.
- Calculate rebates due to customers.
- Assist with purchase ledger and sales ledger processing as required including covering holidays.
Person specification
- Experience working at an assistant accountant level in a finance team.
- Experience in maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and calculating and posting accounting journals.
- Strong excel skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain motivation whilst working remotely.
Additional information
- Remote with occasional travel to warehouse in Eye as business needs dictate and during initial training.
- 25 days holiday plus 9 days bank holidays.
- 37.5 hours per week 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday with an hours lunch break.
