Job Title: Financial Accountant

Are you a detail-driven finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? I’m supporting a leading organisation within a highly regulated and quality-focused sector, who are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial reporting experience, either within industry or looking for a first move from practice and is eager to broaden their exposure and take ownership of key accounting processes.
The Role
As the Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting accurate corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting across the business. You will work closely with senior finance leaders and act as a key point of contact during period-end and year-end cycles.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing intercompany accounting processes and ensuring timely internal recharges.
- Completing monthly submissions and ensuring transactions are recognised correctly.
- Preparing statutory accounts in line with IFRS.
- Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations and confidently posting journals.
- Supporting period-end close, tax compliance, and external audit activities.
- Reviewing capital expenditure appraisals.
- Contributing to improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Supporting the wider finance function with various ad-hoc projects.
- This role offers exposure to both group reporting and operational finance, giving the successful candidate a well-rounded career platform.
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence with accounting systems.
- Experience in group reporting or a background in accounting practice.
