Audit Associate
Location: Norwich
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
An established and growing professional services firm is seeking an Audit Associate to join its Norwich team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with audit experience to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working as part of a wider audit team, you will support the delivery of high-quality audit engagements across a varied client base, gaining exposure to a range of industries while building your technical and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Carrying out audit fieldwork, including substantive and analytical procedures
- Testing financial data, gathering evidence and documenting findings
- Preparing statutory financial statements from client data
- Identifying and highlighting key risk areas to senior team members
- Working on-site at client premises where required
- Assisting senior staff on larger, more complex audits
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
About You
- AAT / ACA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an audit role in a UK practice
- Good understanding of audit processes, double-entry and financial reporting
- Working knowledge of IFRS / UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members desirable
