Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Norwich (Hybrid working)
Salary: £27,500 – £33,500

About the Opportunity
A well-established, employee-focused organisation is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager as part of a friendly and professional finance team, contributing to the delivery of accurate financial reporting and supporting key business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Produce and maintain regular cash flow forecasts
- Carry out monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare and analyse reports for budget holders
- Support with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
- Post financial transactions using accounting systems (including Sage)
- Generate reports from internal costing systems
- Provide support with purchase ledger processes as required
- Contribute to system improvements and ongoing finance projects
About You
- AAT qualified or currently studying (or qualified by experience)
- Previous experience in a similar finance role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Excel
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
