Assistant Management Accountant
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client as an Assistant Management Accountant within their finance team. Our client manages a diverse portfolio of residential developments and is seeking an organised and proactive individual to support their growing finance function.
The position is based in Norwich and is a full-time role, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities
Initial Duties
-
Process contractor invoices and manage utility accounts.
-
Liaise with Property Managers to raise maintenance invoices across residential developments for approved works.

Complete twice-monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring the accounting system matches bank statements and escalating any cash flow issues where necessary.

Assist with twice-monthly payment runs to contractors.

Monitor customer accounts and issue first and final payment reminders where appropriate.

Respond promptly to email and telephone queries from directors, leaseholders, property owners and other stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
-
Prepare annual service charge budgets, taking into account the requirements of each development, contractual obligations, inflation and lease or transfer terms. Raise associated invoices for leaseholders and property owners.

Prepare year-end service charge accounts on an accrual basis, comparing actual expenditure against budget in accordance with lease or transfer terms and relevant legislation.

Produce monthly and quarterly service charge reports, reviewing actual expenditure against budget and forecasting future costs where required.

Support external reviews of service charge accounts by responding to queries and requests for information.

Prepare and submit Micro-Entity and Dormant Company accounts to Companies House within statutory deadlines.

Review and raise annual ground rent demands, ensuring compliance with legislative notice periods, and carry out rent reviews where required, including RPI-linked increases.
