Management Accountant

I'm pleased to be supporting a well-established Norwich business with the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a broad role offering the opportunity to take ownership of key areas of the finance function while working closely with colleagues across the wider business.
The role would suit an experienced accountant who enjoys being hands-on, has a strong eye for detail and wants to play an active role in improving processes, reporting and financial controls.
The Role
You'll be responsible for a varied mix of financial and management accounting activities, including:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and providing commentary on key movements
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring ledgers are accurately maintained
- Producing weekly cash flow forecasts and identifying potential financial risks
- Supporting budgeting, financial analysis and business improvement projects
- Assisting with quarterly and annual audits
- Monitoring and reconciling financial data against operational systems
- Supporting improvements to finance processes, procedures and controls
- Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders across the business
- Supervising junior members of the finance team where required
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong grounding in management accounting and financial reporting, with experience of balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts. You should be highly organised, analytical and comfortable communicating with people at all levels of a business.
Ideally, you'll be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified and have excellent Excel and IT skills. Experience of Sage would also be beneficial.
