Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst

Location: Norfolk
Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their established finance team in Norfolk.

This is a senior position within the Accounts Receivable function, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AR experience who is confident dealing with complex queries, client relationships and escalated issues.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the wider team, maintaining high standards of service and ensuring outstanding balances are managed effectively.

The Role

As Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the management of the Accounts Receivable team and deputising for the Team Leader when required.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, handling calls and written communication professionally and confidently.
• Supporting the training and development of new and existing team members.
• Preparing accurate arrears and accounts receivable reports.
• Producing regular reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring outstanding balances and proactively chasing overdue payments.
• Handling complex escalations from other members of the AR team and providing guidance and support.
• Working closely with Team Leaders and colleagues across the wider finance function to ensure a consistent approach.
• Holding regular discussions with relevant stakeholders regarding outstanding balances and providing clear commentary on arrears.
• Supporting monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
• Instructing enforcement agents where appropriate.
• Completing complex reconciliations and resolving account discrepancies.
• Investigating and responding to detailed customer and account queries.
• Working in line with established processes and best-practice procedures.
• Supporting the wider team with any other duties required to ensure the smooth running of the various accounts and portfolios.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong previous Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will ideally have:

• Solid experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar finance environment.
• Experience managing complex account queries and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
• Confidence communicating with clients and other stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience dealing with escalated queries and resolving issues effectively.
• The ability to analyse account information and provide clear and accurate reporting.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive and professional approach.
• The confidence to support and guide less experienced members of the team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider finance team.
