How Early is Too Early?

We all know punctuality matters when it comes to interviews – but have you ever wondered how early is too early?

Turning up 20–30 minutes ahead of time might seem like a great way to show eagerness, but it can sometimes create pressure for the interviewer or even come across as slightly disruptive (especially in busy offices).

Plus, if you’re already nervous, sitting in the reception or a side room for that length of time can add to your anxiety and make the wait feel even more intense!

The ideal arrival time: Aim to arrive 10/15 minutes early.
This shows you’re prepared, respectful of their time, and still gives you a few moments to gather your thoughts, check your appearance, and take a deep breath.

If you find yourself arriving super early, use the extra time to:
·        Wait nearby in a café or your car
·        Review your notes or CV
·        Do a few calming breathing exercises

And if you’re ever running late, a quick call or message to let them know goes a long way!
