One of the most common worries candidates share with me is “What if I get asked a question I can’t answer?”
Interviewers aren’t expecting you to know everything. What they’re really looking for is how you handle the situation.
Instead of panicking or bluffing, try:
– Admitting honestly: “That’s not something I’ve come across yet.”
– Showing willingness to learn: “…but I’d love the opportunity to develop that skill.”
– Linking back to strengths: “I haven’t done that specifically, but I’ve worked on something similar where I…”
This demonstrates confidence, honesty, and a willingness to grow —three qualities every employer loves to see.
Remember, it’s not about knowing all the answers; it’s about potential and how you present yourself. If you have an interview coming up and want to practice, I’d be happy to run through it with you and share some additional tips. Give me a call and let’s make sure you feel fully prepared!
