Job Title: Systems Analyst
Location: Norwich
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Contract Type: Permanent – Full-Time
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Analyst to join my client’s finance and operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong accounting or finance background who is experienced in ERP systems and enjoys working in a dynamic, problem-solving environment. The role will focus on supporting, improving, and maintaining financial and operational systems, producing reports, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure processes are efficient and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for ERP and finance system queries.
- Maintain and improve system workflows, configurations, and reporting processes.
- Produce accurate, timely reports, including dashboards, variance analysis, and management accounts.
- Reconcile data across multiple systems and ensure integrity of financial and operational information.
- Support month-end processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.
- Work with stakeholders to identify system improvements, propose solutions, and implement changes.
- Assist with internal audits, compliance checks, and process documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on system usage and best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Strong finance or accounting background, preferably with experience in treasury, AP/AR, or credit control.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365/Navision/GP, Sage, QuickBooks, Zero, Salesforce, or similar.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, AAT) or experience in financial systems analysis is highly desirable.
