Practice Manager
Location: Norwich
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We’re working with a growing and client-focused accountancy practice, who are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join its Norwich office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio while playing a key role in team leadership, client development and operational management.
You will be working closely with owner-managed businesses and private clients, and will act as a trusted advisor, delivering high-quality service across accounts, tax and advisory work within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, developing people and helping shape the growth of a modern practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of SME businesses, directors and private clients
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and advice
- Reviewing accounts, VAT returns and tax compliance work
- Planning workflow and ensuring deadlines are met across the team
- Leading client meetings and identifying opportunities to expand services
- Supporting, mentoring and developing junior staff
- Monitoring client profitability, invoicing and debt management
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
- Supporting business development and wider office operations
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong experience within accountancy practice
- Confident managing client relationships independently
- Experience reviewing accounts, VAT and tax work
- Commercially aware with strong communication skills
- Experience with cloud accounting and practice management systems advantageous
