Management Accountant – King’s Lynn
Salary circa £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
I am working with a well established and growing business to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team.
Reporting directly to the Business Director, this is a commercially focused role that will provide financial insight and analysis to support business decision making. The position offers a broad range of responsibilities across management accounts, reporting, cashflow and financial controls within a collaborative environment.
The role
You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts and KPI reporting, while supporting the wider business with financial analysis and operational insight.
Key responsibilities include
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Posting journals and maintaining the fixed asset register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Overseeing payroll and monthly salary payments
- Monitoring daily cashflow forecasts
- Managing weekly supplier and subcontractor payment runs
- Supporting quarterly VAT returns
- Producing monthly management reporting and WIP analysis
- Supporting the statutory audit process
- Providing ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
About you
- Fully qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Confident communicating with stakeholders across the business
- Experience within a similar management accounting role
- Previous construction sector experience would be advantageous but not essential
