  • Process credits and refunds in line with agreed procedures.
  • Process telephone card payments from customers.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Support the close of the sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring transactions are allocated to the correct accounting periods.
  • Prepare nominal ledger journals, bank postings and complete bank reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Support the Management Accountant and Financial Controller with budgets, forecasts and cashflow preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, providing additional support with calls, emails and ad hoc tasks during busy periods.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach.
  • A genuine interest in understanding processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • The confidence to ask questions and constructively challenge processes where appropriate.
